# JSON FORMS array custom error messages

I’m using json form array I want to add custom error message to fields in the array using ajv can you please help me

Hi @Varuu,

Can you outline what you already tried? Out of the box there are two approaches which don’t require the use of custom renderers:

- Use the [i18n support of JSON Forms](https://jsonforms.io/docs/i18n) to customize error messages
- Use the new [middleware support](https://github.com/eclipsesource/jsonforms/pull/2220) to adapt AJV errors (i.e. change their message) before they are stored in the JSON Forms wide store
